Food For Thought With a Pinch of Salt

Most may remain unaware of this but whether we like to admit it or not, fashion is one of the biggest pollutors.
The fertilisers used in fabric production account for almost 25% of worldwide usage. Consequentially, it infects water supplies, damages wildlife and inevitably draws some risk to those working around it. Estimated by the World Health Organization, accidental pesticide poisonings cause 20,000 deats and 3 million non fatal poisonings annually.
And these are just matters of the raw materials. Once ready, one's concern in drawn towards issues of exploitative sweatshops where underpaid labour are wasting away, shackled to capitalism and churning out the disposable fashions so many brands depend upon.
